how long did you crank on it after closing the system up? sometimes it takes several minutes of cranking to fire

 

i crank on it for about 20 sec at a time about every 3-5 min

 

ok im gonna take a stab at this cause ive had almost an identical problem last week.. and here goes mine started with a miss then a couple hours later it started to knock and white smoke terribly and quit and not restart.. and when i pulled the cover on the driver side after some help on here i found that i didnt see much if any oil coming from the injectors while cranking but found that one injector was loose and when i pulled that injector the bottom oring was split in 2 and the copper washer was gone either from forgetting to put it on in the first place or it melting away anyway replaced all orings and copper washer tightened down injector and she fired right up...by the way i had replaced all 8 injectors just weeks before this incident as well and all wiring so it would of been easily ruled out if it wasnt for all the great help we get on this site since i had just replaced all those things...just my .02 sense worth

 

checked out tntitan00's suggestion all injectors tight but i did find broken clip on power wire from idm for #5&7 injector then i went to c00nhunterjoe's suggestion i think that brings out the problem he said i have. 20 sec of cranking the oil level in reservoir drops by 8 oz of oil could the hpop be on almost foll bypass ? if so what could be the causes? thanks i do appreciate everyone's help

That fix wont work if its a cracked suction tube and you wasted 1000s of OP's money ten years ago.
