bypass oil filter poll

from the list of mods i want for my truck , i think this one is priority.
i just know of amsoil,fs2500 and frantz.if you guys know another lets added to the poll.
amsoil looks good, there is a kit for the 7.3 that relocates the full flow filter too and is $322! and bypass refills $38!!
fs2500 looks ok has a nice video on their website but couldnt find the price.
frantz looks ok and is only $200 and refills are $1.75? nothing fancy on their website.

I run a frantz. Its too small for the PSD unless you run 2 or 3 or 4! It will probably be used in another system of my truck once I get my amsoil filter base plumbed in.

I would not recommend the amsoil dual remote unit. Keep the stock oil filter in its place. It has to flow way too much oil to be forced to do its job in another location.

The fs2500 is a good filter from what I hear but its $$$$$$

Stand alone amsoil bypass for me.
Also enjoy the no mess filter change.
Some of the other systems can be a messy pita.

I agree 100%! I just seems foolish to replace a good filter with something that's half the size and costs 3 or 4 times as much.

Me too!
I like their products but I hate their marketing strategy. I'd much rather just be able to go to a store and pick up what I need.

Here's mine:

Have or had no backup for the CC?
Using a restrictor with that filter mount?

I run the Oil Guard EPS-20 (their a site sponsor) and like it. Complete install kit is $272, with good instructions and everything needed for a clean install (even the square rod to take the plug out of the side of the block).

I've had the pressure switch bypassed for years, I use it to power the hour meter you can see above the hood hinge in the 1st pic. Finally got tired of the leaky switch and replaced it with a bolt.

That's an Amsoil mount, it has a restrictive orifice in the return port.

WoW. They are getting cheap.
The stand alone use to be a nice CNC piece.

Edit--Just checked the site. Still shows the cnc part with braid hose and jic fittings.

Who or where did you buy yours from?
