ok, so ive got a 95' F150 AoD 5.0 and i've got a weird issue
at idle for about 2 seconds it surges from 350rpm to 900rpm then settles down but only after being driven
also, at driving speeds sometimes it feels like im towing a ton of bricks in the back, and the transmission dosen't downshift like you would expect it to...
im a little confused and frustrated by both of these issues so any input would be great
Did you get your idle problem fixed, if not I would suggest checking the TB tubes and spray some carb cleaner in it. If that doesn't help try changing you air idle bypass valve.
Ok i have the same problem in my 91 f-150 never could find out what makes it happen, but when it does spray WD-40 into the throdle body while the truck is running and rev it up to get some down deep into the system then shut the truck off and let it sit untill you have to drive it again. 9 times out fo 10 it'll fix it temporary. if anyone can shed some light on what cause's this and how to fix it please tell.
