Headlight switch

I believe I have narrowed my dash light problem down to the headlight switch. #1 I get intermittent power at the fuse for the dashlights. #2 I installed a different instrument cluster. So, why the serial number break for the headlight switch? The chain store has neither but what is the difference in them in case they get the wrong one.

Hi there this is my first post and I hope I help with my comment,

I had the intermittent problem also and yes it was the light switch, I got a new one and no problems since.

take the old switch with you to compare the new one to it. it should have the same plug in on the back for it to work with your trucks wire harness. make sure all the pins on the back for the plug are the same. some have more or less pins so compare and get the same one.
