Has anyone out there lifted a hiboy? I have a 72 F250 4x4 that I would like to fit some 44" Boggers under. Haven't been able to find a suspension lift. Any ideas?????
I first lifted mine using 6 inch skyjacker springs and a 3 inch body lift running 38.5 Boggers, that just wasn't enough so I stacked a 2wd frame on top of the 3\4 ton frame and built brackets from 1\4 inch steel to connect(Body lift was cracking the cab mounts due to hard usage) I also had custom springs made, cost less than the skyjacker kit, with 12 inchs of extra arch. Yes, it rides rough, but well worth it soon as I get the 429 back in I'll post some pics. I run 44 Boggers now with no fender cut out('course it's hell getting in, LOL thats what I love about it) It has a total of 22 inchs of lift not counting what the tires raised it. I mounted my engine on the top frame and built a jackshaft to the transfer case so the engine would be higher out of the water. (Did I mention I love to mud bog?)

Wow, sounds like you have done a lot of work. How much did you have to change? Steering, Tranny, Transfer, Gears, etc? I currently have the original 360 in it, but am thinking of picking up a 390 to build up. However, I am wondering if it will be more cost effective to just build up a 460. Especially if I would have to replace the tranny/trans/gears anyway. Just seems to me that 460 preformance parts are more available. Thanks for the help
