ford "hi-boy"

I was just wondering what designates a ford a "HI-BOY" besides the factory 4x4 and the factory lift?

You should really read the stickies at the top of the page (that's what they're there for!!!). This gets asked about ten thousand times a week.

Post #8 should have the information you're looking for.

Due to this being a busy forum, please try using the search box and then if no luck fire away, but yea it has been covered a million times, so the search should turn up some info.

And the link he provided is spot on, FYI the "high boy" term is NOT factory Ford but Ford truck owner slang.....and 6 pk front leafs instead of 2.

I wonder where Torque1st went? His last post was in July 2007. That's a great post resource; it's not easy to have a posting turn into a "sticky".

Who knows, but as long as the information is available, life is good. Members come and go, and some get there feeling hurt and move on to different sites, or just move on as times and a web site change.

I'll say thanks to him for the info and hope all's well and he is in a Ford somewhere and driving the hell outa it.
