man a t19 is so solid its not even funny ive heard the zf5 trans arent near as tough i can rast my 84 6.9 in 2nd gear with a t19 that had been sittin in a junkyard ... as for identification i think it will have the numbers 13 -09 stamped on the side or say borg warner t19 on the top of the trans

Personally I like the T18 better than the T19 but that is personal taste.
If I had to buy everything for a swap I would go ZF5 no yhere not as tough but are good trannys and the overdrive makes a huge difference.
