trans swap question????????
ok guys im thinkin of doin a trans swap i have the e4od right now but i want to swap in a manuel trans. my question is what is the best trans to get and how can i identify it when i find it??? also my truck is 4x4 and advise would help. thanks jo

yah its a 7.3 i just did not know if there was many diffrent ones. is this swap worth the trouble???? i have never owned an auto matic before this is my first and i dont like it. the truck is a regulair cab and my is extended cab will my drive shaft work on this trans?

Not sure about driveshaft most sex changes I have done needed a different driveshaft measure the tranny and tcase and see.
Does the donor truck run it would be nice to makr sure the 5sp is in good shape.
