rotor removal 2005- F350

Friend has the above vehicle that is grinding metal to metal on the front pads. Went to do brake job this AM and couldn't get the rotors off. They appear to be a one piece deal with the hubs. Removed the 4 nuts on the back side but still couldn't budge them. Is there a puller or something that I need. Didn't want to beat on it with a hammer, so I replaced the pads and put it back together but will need to remove the rotor and have it turned in the near future. What is the secret on removing the rotors??? thanx. wnk.

Rotors fit very tight around the wheel hub.
Spray around the center of the wheel hub with PB Blaster and you'll need some good whacks with a deadblow hammer to get them off while you rotate them.
In the rear be sure that the e-brake is off.

thanx DC. I had two other friends look at that groove and we all came to the conclusion that the rotor didn't seperate there. As you say, it must be a very tight fit. Back to work!!!
