IMO: a truck like that should not have a sunvisor, those rain deflectors on the side windows, the rear spoiler and those stupidly huge "FORD" letters on the plain smooth tail gate.
I am building a similar truck but it will be lower and smoother.
I'm actually thinking about cutting the roof off and welding the bed to the cab to make a roadster. I also plan to roll the A pillars back more and will be cutting about 4" out of the top of the windshield. Shaved door handles and locks and a single small A pillar mounted rear view mirror. Old school, but with 20+ inch rims and tires. Those fender wells don't look right with those tires.
Stay tuned and I'll show you what my vision of what this truck should look like.
Awww c'mon guys, I only linked the truck as I liked the substitute for the front bumper, lets not assassinate his build as it's all in the eye of the beholder after all - I have seen things on here that I consider to be less than pleasing to my eyes but each to their own.
Bigred, is that a photoshop? Can't see it too well.
Stosh, if you are serious about that build, then document it - sounds AWESOME.
Not into 20's/22's, am running 225 50 15's on my F now, with a 6.5"/8" drop. Will put some pics up. I like the look but may need to go to 17's (as long as they don't raise the truck too much) as am trimming down all manner of cross members with every bump in the road
Anyways, if this is my last post of 2008, Happy new year to you all and may '09 bring nothing if not good things.

Oh, I am serious alright.
I originally planned on a 545 big block and already started rounding up all the parts to make it work. Then when gas prices went through the roof, I decided to hold off and do a pretty neat 300 I6 instead.
Right now, I'm still gathering up some parts but the sheet metal and interior is nearly complete. I will probably be dropping the truckcab and box on a car frame to make it easier to lower and handle better. Still searching for a good donor vehicle.
And just for the record, in an effort to keep it low budget I decided to go with 20" steelies. Dodge ram factory spares as a matter of fact. I've already rounded up 2 and have a lead on 2 more. Best part is, they are 20 x 9 and have a 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern so they'll fit the Ford axles.
I'll post some pics up once I find a donor and actually start the fabrication and assembly. I'm looking to build a sweet looking lowered truck that's good on gas and I can drive any where.

This whole roadster idea sounds awesome, and I look forward to seeing it!
I've played around with the shaved idea, using MSpaint for my own truck, I'm not sure who the owner of this truck is,hope they don't mind....
Any more side views of that truck? I'd like to Photo-chop more out of it.
The only one I have of this one.... I have a bunch of pics of this model truck that have been lowered or modified, for ideas, can't seem to find them at the moment.
