Does anyone know if the 1st gen "L" traction bars will fit on a regular 2wd? I have a pair that I got for a good deal and thought that it would be a cool mod. Are the only components the snubber bars and the mounting plates? It looks to me like they won't work because of the hole for the pin on the leaf springs. If the pin goes into the snubber bar there won't be a pin in the spring perch on the axle.
On my 93L, the the spring pack bolt went thru all the springs, and the snubber leaf to clamp them ALL together. The bolt head then goes into the spring perch on the rear-end. For the snubber to work better once installed, you need to shim the rubber bumper up to the leaf, have them touching. I hope I helped you.
I doubt it will. The lightning springs are flatter and the snubber almost touches the spring just sitting. In a regular F150 the springs are going to have to wrap in order for the snubber to touch. Just my .02 cent
