This post is for people that have done the head studs one at a time. I don't want to hear about it not going to working or not a good idea from people that have not done it this way. I could be total wrong but I am going to try to do one stud at a time and would like to hear from other people that have done it also.
PS New to the forum and to 6.0. One of the best forum on the net for great info.
Have heard that some have tried it, have not heard the results they experienced from it though. Arguments against it I've heard are just that if there is already a problem arising that hasn't come full circle yet it will still come about even with the studs in in the process you are going to be doing it.
I am 99% sure the head gaskets are good. So if they are still good then if I do one stud at a time I think it would work. The problem with heads leaking is the bolts they use to hold the head on stretch.
Thanks for your input
Any members out ther that have do this one stud at a time?
As rollerstud pointed out, some have tried it and you never hear about the long term results. Most heads direct from the factory were not flat, so it is a good idea to the job right when installing head studs.
"Most heads from the factory were not Flat",,,Is this documented ?
How can this be,,they have to be milled to a certain tolerance of flatness !
I am also curious as to doing the Head studs "One-at-a-time",,my 6.0 runs Great,,no issuse what so ever,,No Degas bottle Buggers,,Never seen it Hot, etc,, I am pretty confident my 06' six-O, is in great shape as of yet,,,and think this may be do-able.
Most heads from IH were pretty bad so Ford changed their practice determining if they were usable on repairs. The best thing to do is take them off and go to the machine shop even if they are new out of the box.
You can try one stud at a time, if nothing else you can use the studs over.

Are you waiting for replies from those who have tried this or do you have the studs and are going forward with the project?
Do you tow and, if so, how heavy? Is your 6.0 tuned?
My wife said "No you can't use the dishwasher to clean hubcaps!"
I said hmmm....parts washer....my mom always said engage brain before operating mouth...now I know why

My truck is at the dealer now getting some things fixed and I know the guys that run the service department quite well. At any rate I asked them about this as Id be interested in doing it if it could be done without problems. Well from what they told me they had a truck that did have this done at another ford dealer in Fallon, NV actully and the truck had problems blew the head gaskets. He took it to the Ford dealer here and Reno and tryed to get it fixed and was a real pain in the *** about it. At any rate they did not fix it under warranty and he got stuck with the repair bill. I dont know if others have had better results but I know and trust this guy. So I dont see why he would lie to me about it
