Rear brake hang-up

My driver side rear brake drags on occasion. It has been doing this randomly for several months. Originally thought it was the e-brake causing the problem (as it started after sitting for a week with the e-brake on) but haven't used the e-brake recently and i still have the problem. I took it to Ford and they couldn't seem to duplicate the problem and said there was no significant pad or rotor wear. I know when it drags because the truck becomes powerless at times and i will feel the wheel and it is hot compared to the others. This has happened several times with the first time it happened i could smell excessive pad burning.
I read about the caliper slide pins not being properly lubricated. could this be the problem? Would't/shouldn't the mechanic have noticed this ?
it's an 06 F250 with 55k. Any ideas?

THANKS

I'd say go ahead and clean/grease the pins. It can't harm anything and is likely the problem. It would be difficult to diagnose it unless they removed the caliper, so I doubt they checked the pins closely.
