Also I was going to ask you guys..do you think it would be dumb to put some small LED running lights along the top of the truck bed..say, 4 on each side...would make the truck look a bit more like a little semi truck. Ive never seen anything like that done.
I found some cool orange LEDs, complete with little chrome mounting brackets. They would be pretty discreet until it got dark out and then they'd light up pretty bright.
Just watched the movie Hancock......not bad. Nice to just chill and relax on the couch for a change. I was busy organizing the garage, and the shed all day. NOT an easy task......I don't know what happened to me lately, but I've become a pack rat lol

That thread is sizing up to be a good'n. As far as the LEDs. As long as they could be protected, so they couldn't be hit when loading stuff in the bed. I say go for it.
Frickin photobucket. That site is pretty cool. They have an edit photo option. I took a picture I already had on there and just added the orange dots with their drawing tool.
I picked Jim's brain about the wiring for a bit, and I think even a non-electrical retard like me can figure this one out..say as long as I dont accidentally splice them into the blinkers.
Lisa, could you run your wires under the bed rail caps and mount the LEDs up tight to the caps. That could save you from drilling more holes in your bed.
Huck- I vote for Garrett! You need to go truck related, thats how I wound up with Bilstein for my pup (that and my family hated it so I had to name him that. lol.)

Yeah running the wires should be no big deal, under the caps like you said..however..I do think I want to mount them in the actual side of the bed to make them in line with the chrome hooks...also I think I'll need to connect the mounting screws to the truck body to create a ground for my electrical connections.

How are they going to be installed, Lisa? I know you said "chrome mounting brackets" but are they double sided tape, screwed or ????
How many LEDs are in each unit?!
That would be kinda sweet little setup if you did it.
You gonna wire it into parkin lights?
The amber-colored covers are attached to a little chrome bracket with two screw holes in either side. I'll have to screw these lights into the side of the bed. Three tiny LEDs in each light.
Jim and I figured the best way to do it would be to wire it directly into the parking lights.
Sorry to be so ON TOPIC on this one. I didnt want to start a big thread about it and get all involved. Curious whether you guys would think it would look cool or not.
