2007 King Ranch Remote Programming
I can not get my truck into programming mode using these instructions:
To program the transmitters yourself:
Insert a key in the ignition and turn from 3(Off) to 4(On) eight times in rapid succession (within 10 seconds) with the eighth turn ending in the 4(On) position.
The doors will lock/unlock to confirm that programming mode has been entered.
Any suggestions?

I just bought a new key fob off of Ebay beacuse my '06 XLT did not have one.
Basically, I had to insert the ignition key and turn it from lock to the on position 8 times, ending in the on position within 10 seconds.
As soon as you get to the 8th time, the door locks will lock then unlock. Then press any button on the remote. The door locks will then lock then unlock.
Turn the ignition off and remove the key. I waited about 10 seconds to try the remote. Worked like a charm. I had to do the key cycling a few times because I kept stopping at 7 (doh!). Just remove the key and wait for a bit before trying again.
