I got a pair of cab lights for christmas and I followed the instructions carefully.
The kit includes a switch, inline fuse, lights and wiring.
I have my inline fuse connected to my battery to my on/off switch, the switch has a proper ground and then my wiring goes from the switch to the lights...easy enough. My switch glows red and all the wiring reads 12v and my connections are secure...but the cab lights just wont turn on.
I've check the bulbs they are fine I don't know what's wrong...any help will be much appreciated thanks.
Is your "under dash" ground for the switch or for the lights?
Usually, the ground wire under the dash is JUST for the indicator light on the switch. The lights themselves need a separate ground to work. That is usually supplied through the mount to the body, but paint, insulation or sealant may be preventing the light to get a good ground to the body.
