Just orderd and edge evolution.

i just orderd a edge evolution for my 01 f350.Ive heard that the dp is alot better, but i got the edge at a good price with a easy payment plan,so it was kinda hard to pass up.I would of gotton the dp if i had more money to play with.i hope i made the right choice for this kind of tuner, and i hope im happy with it to.should i back out and wait to get a dp or should i stick with this tuner?

Do you have a set of gauges already? If you already have gauges I would say wait and get the DP.

It's fine if you want to stay where you're at. When you go further with things like tranny mods, turbo change, etc, etc, the EDGE won't cut it. I haven't used the edge, but those that have say the custom tuning blows it away (like DP or Tony Wildman).

Nothing wrong with the edge. It will give good safe performance enhancements while being outrun by most other custrom chips on the market. And I am not even talking a close run. Still better than stock though. Make your choice.

There is nothing"wrong" with the edge. I have a freind of mine that has one and he is happy with it. He does admit that the DP in my truck is a lot smoother.

I dont plan on doing nothing more to the truck, except for the tuner and other small stuff, but nothing big like turbo's or tranny's.im just looking for some thats going to add some good power,so i can have it when i need it.will i see the gains that they have posted on there website, the highest being 100hpand 200 trq.i have a strait pipe on it now.

One thing to consider is that any out of the box tuner you get what you get. With a custom tuner like DP or TW it is done according to your truck, your driving habits etc.

You'll be close, give or take. If that is all you want, you're fine. It's just that additional power is so addicting, then you want more. Then you wish you had done something else and ......

I bought my truck used with a Diablo Predator, and it was fun. Then I got a DP Tuner. Then I wanted bigger sticks (injectors) for more go fast. Luckily it was merely an act of mailing the tuner off to Jody to get a re-flash to accomodate the new sticks. NOW, I plan on getting a GTP38R (ball bearing turbo) if not something even better, when I get back from Iraq with some cash in hand.

Long story short, once you wake up the beast, it's hard to stifle it's appetite!!

Ha, I think most of us have said that at one time of another. I stopped because I like being married, fishing, boating, hunting and all the other stuff my wife lets me do without to much fussing. Spending excessive money on go fast stuff just don't get it in her eyes. So, if she reads this, I'm happy and done,,, if she don't, I will continue to slip stuff in a little along under the "needs to be fixed before is leaves us stranded" clause.
