i don't know about you guys, but all of my stuff is right out in the open...I don't have any bling under the hood other than my intake and painted up pipes, and I'm not even trying to hide that. Everybody knows that my truck has some kind of performance mods as soon as they can see the 5" stove pipe coming out behind the rear tire. About the only thing I have that is stealthy is the 5% window tint. You cant see into my truck so no one can see the guages or DP tuner. I kinda like the fact that If you see my truck you know that it is modded, but I can see how it would be kinda cool if it were a little more stealthy.
You guys have it all wrong though on the sleeper mods...Everybody knows that looks can be decieving. In my book the perfect sleeper is a vehicle that looks like **** on the outside, but rumbles the ground when it pulls up beside you.

You want a sleeper, look at Cale or Patty Thompson's rides. Unless you're popping the hood on Cale's, you'll never know it has anything done to it. On Patty's 02, it's probably about the same.
I like custom, but suttle. So that way, even if you show someone that's not overly familiar with our trucks, they may not notice. If they do, they do. If not, then that's their fault!!!
Here's just another thought for the pot... I, too, like the sleeper approach because I do go over the speed limit and sometimes get caught... I don't want anything to catch the public safety officer's eye to the point where he/she might want to start making assumptions about how I drive (aside from the original on-the-spot speeding issue).
Get 'em thinking too much about what kind of machine you have and how it can potentially be driven, and you're likely going to get a less-than-lenient perspective from the officer and/or court.
I pay enough for my mods to begin with. Don't want to be double-dipped just because some officer gets on a high horse because of how fast my truck "looks".

I know what you mean,I was pull over because of my window tint and was told that the tint looked very suspicious to the officer .even though it was legal tint.
The loudness of my tires mixed with the exhaust is the what the cops around here look for. They usually think I'm speeding even if i'm not simply because the truck is so damn loud.
