Has anyone ever seen a PSD Rat Rod?
I'm looking at the slide show of pictures on the laptop I'm fixing for a friend and it is mostly rat rods so far....
That would be one hell of a front end for the thing, but... damn that would be cool. Just strait up stack behind the cab. Big ole 6 or 7 inchers .Just plain overkill. Maybe even a dualy rear for stupidity (need traction) instead of big ole fat tires. I think I'd run an automatic though, not sure. Want to make sure I can build ungodly boost. I dont think i'd overkill on engine mods though, the horsepower/torque that a stock motor puts out would kick the cars *** as it is.
Just some big ole headstuds and stuff so i can shove **** tons of boost though it..
I think i'm going to dream about this a little bit.
the 6637's are just going to be up in the open like front stacks.
No hood, i want everyone to see the PSD goodness.
I'd have to get some old 30's ford thats rusted to shizzle and to fix the body parts, I'll just rivit on new panels. Install seats out of a tractor or something that say john deere or international on them, just to screw with people. or a CASE IH stearing wheel. hahaha.
I cant remeber the mag (I think it was Diesel Power) but thry had an article in there about someone who put a 6.4L IH in an old IH pickup. lick a 30s model. it was a really nice build.
I have a pic in my head:
32 Ford
A few massive turbos and lots of crome pipes between the Radiator and the cab. Man that would be some Rat Rod.
Rat Rod and crome go together but I know what you are saying. Im not a big fan of lots of crome either but when there are huge turbos involved then its kinda cool.
I cant get the picture out of my head though. The thought of a 32 Ford and a screaming PSD with huge turbos is awsome.
Aw heck... if yer gonna do all that... ya gotta shove that gleamin PSD in a T Bucket roadster... and to make all that massive horses stay glued to the ground use a big sterling rearend out of a F550 with some shortened Strange Engineering axles turning some fat Mickeys... you'd have to custom fab the lil tiny rims in the front out of titantium to hold the front end up... and the customary "stang 2" front suspension would have to be more than just mildly stroked and stiffened to support the weight and turning duties... course you'd have to hit the nitro button when you mash the pedal to give the motor some extra O2 untill the twin wheezers come into their own and the boost gauge comes up... then.... oh well what the heck... keep the button mashed down, hang on and see what happens next. Bet the propeller on yer ole beany hat will spin and yer aviator goggles better have some good 3-4 g rated straps on em
