Idk but instead of people being upset about it maybee the country should have car classes and license the classes like cdl is to truck. Class a to a gt 40 class c to a pickup truck if the kid can pass the gov test on a powerfull vehicle then u have no right to tell them they can't unless ure the parents lol... instead of complaining take that to the senate

My childeren will not be getting hotrods, more like 2000-2010 econoboxes. That said however, I will try to act surprised when the police call saying one of my hot rod trucks had my girls in it screwing around. Right now they are only 4, and 15 mo's, however the baby is very adventurous (huge understatement) and the 4 year old loves sittin on my lap when we are offroad goofing off. FASTER DADDY, FASTER!! With that said, they will learn how to drive twice. Once learning the proper way, and the second, learning how/what gets the car loose, and what to do to get it back without killing anybody. (and me telling them that I will paint their car some gawd awfull color and doctor it up like the car Tony Danza gave Allisa Milano in "Who's the Boss?"

In this day in age. No, not really. Gas is way too high it would kill their fun money unless they have a second job. Plus, I really think a new driver should focus on the rules at first and you should do that in a car that is easy to drive until you get some practice.
Kind of like giving a jet plane to a new pilot...... You wouldn't do that would you?
With power come great responsibility.... Some kids can handle it though.

No they shouldnt. Peer pressure at that age is tremendous. f you have got something hot truck or car an your buddies want you to show off a bit. You do just that. Kids value there friends. Or another kid says prove it that your fast lets line them up in front off everybody. Well what do you say No. Off course you say yes. Peer pressure again. When you have a muscle car or truck youll be challenged all the time. More invitiation to getting injured or hurt in an accident.

I'm amazed and not trying to start something.
But, your truck runs low 14's or your not speaking to the Muscle cars we are talking about here I think. If this is so.... you don't have your stock pick up truck. It's more like a highly modified truck. My stock Firebird ran 13.4 at the track. With $700 she's into the 11's.
This was the caliber of Muscle car I was talking about.
I'd even go so far as saying a stock Colbalt SS would qualify. It runs 13.5's stock. Otherwise, Hi-Po V8's are the muscle cars imo. I just bought a book and that pretty much is what qualifies.
Old muscle cars were low 14's or they really weren't considered muscle cars by the day.
13's or better were considered to be the true muscle cars imo. You needed a couple tweaks to get there on most of the cars. But, generally headers / 4bbl / some tune would get you there.
I think stock Dodge Hemi's are high 14's still aren't they?
In closing I have to say... the driver has a lot to do with this formula as well. ;-)
