My wife loves this part. Have some one in the truck, either back up, or pull forward, watch the drive shafts at easch wheel. Migght be easier to look at them before the truck moves, so you know where/what you are looking at.
Well, My HUbs are here. So, I want to make mention that I bought them at ExpertOffroad.com, I ordered them Thursday, regular delievery, and they are here.. Total to my door was 199.98.. And if it wasnt for the funeral I am heading off to, I would be installing the things right now...
I had them off before when I did the wheel bearings. They were a breeze. But I am thinking of doing brakes, testing my batteries, replacing a couple axuliary switches. So, I shall wait. Thanks though!!
thanks to all for the great info and advise, web addresses, ordered the warn 11690, i figuered ill put the big pliers i keep in the side panel back in the tool box once i get these installed.
Bowie,
Have you ordered your hubs yet?
If not, you can disconnect the vacuum and use your stockers the same way as the $200 hubs.
Remove the snap ring and pull the hub out.
Depress the white plastic portion about half way down and release. This should unlock the hub.
Reinstall the hub.
Disconnect and plug the vacuum line at the solenoid.
Now your transfer case will engage with the motor and your hubs will not.
You can get out and turn you hubs to engage and dis-engage them.
PM me if you have any questions.
Bill

Pat, was that $ 199.98 for premium or standard hubs ? ,
I check my local NAPA and ADVANCE AUTO today and they both are asking $ 279.00 for premium and $ 179.00 for standard.
