Engine Computer Compatibility

I have a 92 F-250 HD with a 351W and E40D. I would like to get a spare computer off of ebay but I was wondering if i would need to have it reprogrammed even if it came off of a 92 Bronco with a 351W and an E40D

Any thoughts?

No need to have it programmed, if it has a slightly different calibration due to gearing or some such you'll never know.
