Ok I sound like a broken record, I have my last posts on pages 31 and 32 under user cornutsoffroad if you want to be up to date on what i started out with, I still have the p603 and p605 codes and a code for the injector pressure circut.
I ordered a computer from ebay from auto computer exchange and after being sent the wrong one twice they sent me the right model and when i plugged it in the check engine light came on and the diagnostics computer would not bond with it, When i put the old pcm back in the light went off and the diagnostics worked and brought up the same codes.
Ok so i talked to a ford mechanic and he said the computer could be fine and to bleed the fuel pressure regulator again.... is there a way to check if the regulator is still good? or should i just buy a new one?
Hi I went back and read a bit forgive me if I skipped something it is early lol
You said you had your fuel filter housing out for some repairs did you happen to check fuse number 22 under the hood it almost sounds like a fuel heater short
Does your wait to start light come on when you first turn the key?
Like action said in the prev post have a real good look at the harness on the left of the fuel filter housing you would have had to unplug them to take the housing out you could have damaged the plug or broke a wire .
I would use a test light on fuse 22 under the hood with the key on I got fooled not to long ago pulled the fuse it looked good but when I tested with a test light it ended up being bad.
yea i checked fuse 22 along with a few others i didnt think to check it for power though i will check that, and the wait to start engine light does come on before starting and goes out after about 5-10 seconds
yea the two codes are P0603 Internal Control Module KAM Error
P0605 Internal Control Module ROM Error would that be because of a loss of power or a malfunction in the computer?
Re-read your other posts. Did you replace the fuel regulator? Anyway check the fuel pressure while cranking. If you don't have a pressure gauge use a cheap stick tire gauge.
no i did not replace the fuel regulator i had a new on coming from ebay but it was a bum order can i check the pressure after cranking it will it hold pressure or do I have to have somone crank the truck while checking it?
