Bed compatibility

What other years of bed will fit an 01 Ranger ext cab? Obviously the length has to match, but what other years use the same bed?

I believe it's about 93 - present, more or less.

Ranger comes with 2 bed sizes -93 to present-5.5 ft. and 7 ft. Should be enough around in the bone yards to find what you need...

Seems to me that Ford did a minor refurnish of the Ranger in about 1998 or '99... not sure, really. But that might be a concern when it comes to lining up the bed to the cab. I remember when I was looking for my Ranger, one I'd seen had had a "transplant", and while it was solid, it just did'nt look right to my eye for some reason.

You might also think about a flatbed... I know there's some companies that make them for the Ranger, and there are plans to be had for you to make one yourself.

ive tought about taking a longbed and cutting frames on it and my truck both, make a one of a kind "longbed supercab" but thats alot of work to only gain 1 ft in bed length.
