Does Any One Know The First Year Ford Offered A Crew Cab(4 Dr) Short Bed Configuration? I Know The 1996 F250 Offered This Config, But Supposedly Not The F350.
They were available in the mid 70's, and then went away for like twenty years....and came back in the 90's....now all of those had 6.5 foot beds.....5.5 foot beds came in 97 with the F-150
they had them in the 60s (like 65) and they never went away.....any crew 4x4 will have a short bed untill about the 80s when they started offering 4x4 crew long beds. any crew long bed untill the 80s will be 2wd, unless it is custom.
There was no crew short bed from 80-95, the F250 was built 96/7 as a crew/shorty, with 460 or diesel power only.
The newest 70's era F250 crew cab shorty I have seen was a 78. There was no crew cab at all for the first couple years of the 80-86 body style, I'd have to dig into my brochures, but, I think it was 83 when they brought that style F350 crew cab out.
All 80-97 F350 crew cabs are long beds.
Thanks For The Help. I've Got A Supercab Londbed 89 And I'm Looking For A Crewcab Shortbed That I Can Switch My Dana 60 Front Into Without Too Much Hassle.
