o4 f-250 214thuokms. chip out last 300kms when issue started. drivin down road EGTs will run summer temps to my standard. no boost on guage. i usually average 10-15psi cruzin boost depending if slip tk full. step into it, itll usually have to shift down then boost, but it sounds like jet plane takin off n then itll boost EASILY up to 30psi where i take my foot out. the weather has been -30/-40*c lately here. it all started the nite i got back from a 1600KM round trip pullin a 26ft enclosed trailer to the mountains. the chip was on 50hp settin n boost n EGTs were in the norm the whole way. got it scaned n codes are :
P0069- MAP BORO PRESSURE
P0299- TC/SC CORRELATION UNDERBOOST
P0490- EXHAUST PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT FAULT

i borrowed it to the brother last nite to use at work and told him to drive it but watch the boost. the shop cleard the codes, and hopfully the trouble ones will be back when he takes it back to the shop this morning. any ideas for a fix? EGR valve? ICP sensor? Turbo acuator? id like to have it fixed over xmas the next chance ill get will be after new years with my work schedual. a private shop is doin the scanin. ford to busy to look at it till after new years and outtta warrenty. i need my truck sooner than that, gettin tired of borrowin dads 98GMC.
today the private shop could get the Po299 to rest on test drives. the low boost code. that was the only one that would reset. it sucks being this is happenin thru christmas. dealer told me " he had custmers trucks infront to do" and to call back in jan around the 2nd. basiclly i didnt buy it there, im not a priority. im goin to pull EGR tonite. its been over 80thuo kms since it was touched. maybe the hot drive thru the mountains lossend up some carbon.
