vin info
where can i find out what means what on a vin number? my vin is f14hceg1332 79 4wd short bed 150 is about all i know

F14 = F150 4WD Pickup

H = 351M 2V

C = Ontario Canada Assembly Plant

EG1332 = 1979

If you want more info, list all the codes found on the Warranty Plate which is located on the left door face below the latch.

door code plate is vin on top and below is 117 b f140 body sr4 trans f axle h2 and below that is 06050(gvwr) 1979(year)12(build month?)

F14 = F150 4wd

F = Transmission: 4 spd, Manual, Warner T18

H2 = Rear Axle: 3.50 Limited Slip, 3750lb Ford

6050 = gvwr

1979 = year
