Bad alternator?
OK, another problem.
2002 F-250 7.3 200,000 miles- I bought it used. Unknown age of alternator.
Last night I noticed a crackling/snapping sound coming from the alternator. I drove it about 6 miles and then it had some loss of power and shaking. It straightened out and drove back home. Last night, it was 0 degrees. At noon today it was 14 degrees. I tried to start it, it turned over slowly and would not start. I tried to start 2 times.
