turbo whistle?

just got a 05 6.0 about a month ago. 216,000 on it, but in good shape. Anyways a few days ago i was driving and had about 20 psi and let off the throttle completly, boost dropped and it made a sound like hitting a water puddle on a highway. I've driven 6.0's before and every one Ive driven has done it and from what I understand that's normal. But then it got down to just a few pounds boost, and made a loud noise, almost like a belt squeling. The trucks was warmed up almost to operating temp when it happened, and it was only about -7 F or so out. the squealing stopped as soon as boost hit 0.

I've driven deisles a lot, and understand a bit about them, but this is the first one i've owned. Thanks for the help.

you can pull the intake side off the turbo and check for play on the compressor wheel...it should have a tiny bit of play and rotate freely...
