Hey guys, i'm new to FTE . . i have a 96 F150 XL 4x4, i have 6 inches of suspenion lift (blocks
and u-bolts in rear, tall coils in tha front with all
skyjacker shocks/stabalizers etc) but with tha
Twin I beam . . you can only go so high with tha
suspension . . and i wanna go bigger and better
(hey dont' we all) and i want to fit some FAT 38's
on 12 or 14 (wide) inch wheels . . to do this, i
need a body lift . . sure i can get a "pre fabbed" 3
inch body lift . . but that's too simple . . i'm wantin
to do a 5 inch body lift . . . . and i can make all
my own brackets for bumpers and steering shaft and i
can cut tha floor for my shifter . . . . i know it
sounds wacky, but it's something that not alot of
people do and it'll give my truck alot of tires clearance
and a 11'' lift with no straight axle conversion . . .
how bout that fellas?
orr you could up your lift to an 8 inch suspension (skyjacker makes it) and put a 3 inch body on it, im not a fan of body lifts myself, especially for off road use, so i would try to keep it small. but thats just me

on a quiet night your can hear a chevy (lol, you can watch a dodge) rusting away
Do the straight axle swap, get extended radius arms, fab some drop brackes for the radius arms, and get 10" coils with 2" coil extender blocks......you'll have 12" total lift without the hassle and problems of a body lift.
