Error Code 332 and 225

332 egr and 225 knock sensor. Any ideas? Are the 2 related? Will a egr get me going or vacuum leak? Someone once told me that you can find a vacuum leak easy with carb cleaner.

Also had oil pressure problems in the past and a dirty intake but I have really good vacuum at the brake booster.

332 is EGR valve opening not detected, look for a broken or cracked vacuum line between the EGR valve and EVR, also cheeck that the EVR is getting vacuum and that is functions.
225 could just be operator error during one of the KOER tests, ignore it for now.

Would the vacuum be between the vacuum and egr only?

ignore the anti-knock 225. I agree with Conanski..you have a bad vacuum line, vacuum reservoir (coffe can) or the relay that feeds vac to EGR is shot.
My EVR solenoid has been replaced,,when I used to get those codes, I troubleshot to EVR and discovered EVR solenoid had corroded to the point of totallyseized up. It is exposed to environment.

EVR is the EGR vacuum regulator, it a little solenoid over by the coil, it controls the vacuum sent to the EGR valve.

I bet you'll find more than one crack in those hard plastic lines. They're so easy to break when you're fumbling around under the hood.
