Advanced Security Group, WTF????
I had the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago. Ford told me $260 in just labor alone!! I took the door panel off and found the lock cylinder, put it back in place and inserted the key..... it works just fine. They must have used a socket or something round to push it through. My Ford alarm saved the truck, they didn't steal anything. I am pretty sure they wanted the whole truck. The plastic part that houses the cylinder was busted when they punched the lock so right now it is held in place, very tightly, with a couple of heavy duty zip ties! I am thinking about ordering the jimi jammers instead of paying a few hundred dollars to Ford for a new painted handle assembly. From the info I received from bismic (thanks!!) on a different post it seems like the jimi jammers will securley hold the cylinder in place. Did you have to have the door handle assembly replaced on yours?
