essentially you are going to have to pull the dash board out of the truck to get to it. This link will get you instruction for replacing the heater core. You have to get almost there for the blend door. Good luck!

The blend door and the frame it sits in come out as a unit. The frame has tabs that hold it in place in the plenum. If you're replacing the door with the factory replacement the frame comes with the door already assembled; if you're using an aftermarket part I think you only get the door. The tab on the top of the frame that secures the top of the blend door breaks really easily (don't ask how I know) so if you need to reuse the frame be careful...if you got the door/frame assembly just reach in there and give it a good ******, it'll come out.
