Don't laugh!

Well, the wind was blowing, so the camera is constantly making microphone noise. Secondly, I didn't have a cameraman, or in this case, woman to record for me. She didn't want to get 'muddy'. WTF? Who doesn't like mud?

So, bad sound, bad camera angles... it's enough to give you a headache. You can hardly hear anything half the time, lol. I'll get better ones up in a few days.

Does sound quality get any worse than this? It's me spinning them in 1st and 2nd. Can't hear a damn thing, and the quality is even worse on youtube. YouTube - 1986 F-150 1st to 2nd spinning

This is a few spins and a 4x4 launch. Yeah, it's muddy. Looks faster when it's on dry dirt. YouTube - 1986 F-150 Playing in Field

Got one more just as pathetic, but longer. YouTube - 1986 F-150 on a muddy hill

Yeah, really pissed me off about the sound quality. The few times you can actually hear the truck, it sounds pretty good, imo. But, the way it is, the sound quality just gives ya a headache.

youtube is cool but i hate how it degrades the vidio quality. ive got one on there that i did at night but you cant even see the guages. it sounds cool tho. if you are using like a nikon coolpix try tapeing a small piece of foam over the mic. it will help whith the wind issue. anyways here is my video

http://www.youtube.com/v/E8SKa9YWPqk&hl=en&fs=1

BTW can anyone identify that howling in the background. i always thought it was the rear diff but now that winter hit i think its tranny related

You are right, I saw the gauge moving quickly passed 45 and 55mph, then you can't see it again. But, you can probably see it on the original video on your computer, lol.

You should get your girlfriend to hold your camera. I really couldn't hear / see much. Nice truck though! Love that wood interior.

Added you on YouTube.

yes the original video is 10 times better you can see both the tach and spedometer. did it when i first got the vehicle insured. i wanted to see the 0 to 60 time but there was traffic behind me so i couldent stop on the onramp. it turned in to a 15 to 80 time lol

Well, here's an update: YouTube - 1986 F-150 5.0 Sound

I had my wife to record two videos. Somehow, she didn't save the last one. It was better. Not that this one was any good. You can hear more what the truck sounds like when it's coming at you. When it's going away, it sounds a little distorted on her phone.

It's pretty loud in person...

LMAO, everyone says that. It's like the 'davesfarm' guy on youtube.

BTW, should I get a muffler? I'm wondering what duals with flowmasters would sound like. I want something loud... not open headers loud, but still loud.

I left you a comment.

If you want slightly less loud as open headers, try short glass packs. If you want a baffled muffler, I like my flowmaster super 44.

What did you do to your truck? Glasspack? Sounds good, has that tractor tone I love.

Here's mine YouTube - 300 I6 Short drive and Rev.

I love the flowmaster. I prefer straight pipes tho.
