Ok so my dad told me to order my bull bar for christmas. My question is there one better than the other? I found a westin on ebay for 228 brand new. All the other westin ones are 300 so im not sure. I also saw one called aries. Its like 215 or so. Just trying to figure which one is better. Thanks
Westin makes good stuff. I've had several of their products over the years. But you pay for their name.
I have the Hunter Bull Bar and love it. Also, the price is right. If you have a front liscence, you don't need the relocation bracket either. It's still visible between the lower bars
Ok cool. I will probably go with the westin if I ever hear back from the guy on ebay. If not then I will go with the aries. Now I just need to find a nice set of 6 inch lights
Ya that truck looks sweet but I think the bull bar would look better on my truck. A black brush guard on a dark blue truck isnt me and a chrome brush guard on a dark blue truck is to much. I think the bull bar is right.
Are these bull bars effective at protecting a lot of the main engin/radiator area of the truck from a solid deer collision? They must help some.
Still Smoking: Please post some pics when you do get it on, thanks.

you would think so...some anyways. But you would be clipping the deer in the legs. A Cow Killer is the only real protection you'll find for deer
as far as sturdiness, I can jump up/down on mine with my 275lb butt and it doesn't flex at all. Used the bull bar as a step while installing goodies under the hood...truck sits a little bit too tall already even for 6'3"
Yeah, Tylus is right. Cow killers like the Ranch Hand in the pic I posted will be your only protection from a deer or another animal. Bull bars will just fold back into your bumper, unfortunately. I saw it happen one day when I was walking out of class. Girl in Acura rearended last gen Tundra which rearended Silverado. Silverado had no damage, Tundra's bar was bent into the bumper (didnt' do any damage to the bumper though!) and the rear bumper brackets were bent. The Acura slid under so the hood was all sorts of messed up.
Here's what a Super Duty looks like after killing a 150 lb deer at 60 mph.
