Are these bull bars effective at protecting a lot of the main engin/radiator area of the truck from a solid deer collision? They must help some.

Still Smoking: Please post some pics when you do get it on, thanks.

Thank you, I have to say a bull bar gives some protection but like said you need more for a deer or something like that. There pretty strong but I think anymore then a light hit they would fold under.

Well I got it put on last night. Sucked my instructions blew away cause the garage door was open and my the side door blew open and the instructions flew away before I could even read them. Tried to get online but my internet was down. So I had to wing it. Got in when I was done looked up online and found out I didnt right but was confussed about what all the extra hardware was for and it was for trucks without tow hooks. This is not the best pic but I will try to get some more when the weather is better. I think it will look better once I get my bigger tires back on in the spring and when I get my off road lights on.

Hey that looks great.

Is it really solidly mounted to the frame, and do you think it would take a hard hit and survive okay?

Thanks

Its solid, it mounts on the tow hooks and you still have the option of your tow hooks staying on. I have already hit a deer since that picture. there is no damage to my guard i was only going 30 but if i didnt have it stuff would be broken.... Best thing i have bought for my truck so far...

its not all that heavy i put it on by my self it was a tad heavy but it wasn't anything that one person cant handle. everyday i grab it as i walk by and tug on it lol and every day its solid the little bar that runs below the lic plate holder has saved me 3 times i have hit 1 rock and 2 stumps while hunting and all 3 would have torn into my bumper but this stopped it well....

Do you think a bull bar would be strong enough to push a car?

Nascar, I pushed an old Bimmer with my truck. No damage whatsoever. I pushed it to a curb, then over a curb. That's a *****load of force on the truck.

I have a Ranch hand grille guard. Weighs 112 lbs.
