Hey I did this setup in my 70 f100....I put an AOD with a 4r70w geartrain swap...built the tranny myself.....to make it bolt up I used a bendtsen adapter.....so far 3500 miles and no problems...also put a TCI constatnt pressure valve body in it so I didnt have to worry about TV pressure....I bought all the parts from PATC my tranny less the valve body is supposed to handle 600 horses, my motor only pushes 450 but my truck is heavy compared to a car.....

Interesting, just for kicks & giggles, what kind of cost do you have in it?

Hey guy's. Probably a dumb *** question but, why instead of going through the time and expense of trying to match up parts "trannies" why not just marry the old truck body to a newer chassis? I'm not near as savy as you all, but besides the electrical, wouldn't it be easier to just create new body mounts? Like i said, probably a ******* question.
