Pictures of your non lifted 4x4

I'm picking up an '05 Excursion Limited 6.0 4x4 this weekend. It still has the stock tires on it (in good shape too - only 21k miles). I want to replace those little donuts with at least 285/75/16 on the factory rims. Does anyone have pictures they can post or email me at jbietenholz AT gmail.com ? I'm trying to figure out what the truck would look like with 285's and stock suspension. Thanks
Josh

I live in Florida. No rocks for me to climb. This truck will be my daily driver. I just like the look of slightly larger tires with or without a couple inches of lift.

I don't recall ever seeing a military humvee at any rock crawling competition. Mostly Lifted jeeps with big tires. they are very light weightand are capable of rolling over and picking up where they left off... sometimes end over end. This neither describes humvee or ex. I can tell you that without upgraded tires the 4x4 is almost useless on the ex. and the f250 as well.

My father's X doesn't have "upgraded" tires or a lift, but its 4WD goes just fine where it counts...ON the road.

There are places east of the Mississippi where it snows more than here, but not many.

Sure is foggy around your truck, you must live near a lake .

6686L, don't make a mountain out of a molehill. Lifts are there to add clearance for larger tires. Period. While some take it to the extreme in height, don't knock all lifted trucks. Not only do they provide additional ground clearance & tire clearance but they also increase the approach and departure angle. Both are important when 4-wheeling...and not just rock crawling.

Locknload223, that looks like a blast!! You should come over here and crawl on some lava! Now that's a challenge! Simply because the stuff just eats tires.

Swarn2racing, you may have put on 265's but after those pictures they are probably more like 245s now.

To the OP, I have 285's but they are on 20's.

I am running 285x75x16 on a moto metal 16x9 inch rim and have no rub!!!! Very happy because it looks lifted with out being lifted. I took off the front plastic grill guard and the side steps wich helps complete the look of the X being lifted. I just got rid of a lifted GMC with 35s and a 6 inch procomp. You know Family time...this set up on my x is helping me get through the hard times. I love my new X and am happy to have a non lifted truck that finally looks lifted that the family can enjoy also.
