TSB 08 -25-7 and -8 have been issued on 10 December,2008. The TSB 08-25-7 is issued for vehicles built before 8/2/2007 and TSB 08-25-8 for vechicles built between 8/3/2007 and 1/2/2008.
These TSB's supersedes TSB 08-13-02 issued last summer. It also replaced the cancelled Customer Satisfaction Program 08B07 which was cancelled due to some vechicles having the TCM progamming wiped out during the reflash under CSP 08B07.
The new TSB 08-25-7 and -8 calibration updates includes updated instrument cluster message center information. It will show regeneration information continously on the cluster while in progress, no regenerations during idle, in park or PTO mode. Enhancement to reduce vechicle surge and improved resume function in cruise control and enhancements for vechicles that exhibit white smoke during DPF regeneration at temps below 55F or 13C. There is also impovements to the diagonistic trouble codes (DTC's).
The reflash takes 0.5 hours for A/T and 0.4 hrs for manual tramsmission. The program is eligible under provisions of New Vechicle Limited Warranty Coverage.
I picked up the TSB print out yesterday and booked the truck for TSB reflash on 2 January.
Thanks for the info.
Question I have is, I was one who got in on the 08B07 before it got cancelled.
Do you know if this new one is any better sound like all the same issue's to me
probably will caller dealer but I never trust em, ya know !!!!
So do I understand this correctly? I have an early Job 1 which had the update done before it was discontinued (mainly because of what I'd read here- I had it done before I got the letter). It now shows me when it is "cleaning exhaust filter" etc. So is the patch newer than what I just had done a couple months or so ago? I'm not convinced it runs any better since the reflash- in fact, I'm not sure my mileage is actually worse, but with colder weather etc there are a lot of variables...
What I really want is a DPF delete but I'm not prepared to lose my warranty...
interesting I have a job 3 and had the reflash done just before they suspended it. So I think I will just stand-by and see...if ford sends me a letter then I will go from there.
