High Beams blink

I have a 83 F-250 4x4 V-6 4 speed, her name is Ruth Ann, I have replaced a bunch of things on her and she is running well other wise except for the high beams. They will be on for about 5 minutes and then go out or blink. Any idea's would be very helpful.

If its just high and not low I'd suspect the dimmer switch

Replaced the one on the floor already, I was going to replace the one on the console next.

I assume you are going to change the light switch in the dash? If so, check the wiring plug to the switch, they are known to overheat and melt. I think you also meant you have a inline 300 six, not a v6 correct?
