I worked at a Ford dealership until 8/79, and I don't remember ANY 8's like this, they were all the short box.
Shame your dent has to set out in the snow. I feel they all have earned themselves a dry garage to set in out of the weather. Here in Pa we only got a skinch or two of snow so far! I know I am ready for sping!!
This truck was originally blue, sky or baby blue. The PO mentioned there was a fleet ordererd all the same color.Back in the late '70's when the Mica Dam was built, these truck's were used as company truck's.
I worked at Ford dealers from 1962 thru 1997, and Ford did make them, they were far more prevelant in the 1960's.
One of our SoCal Chapter members has a 1966, it was originally a first call firetruck, and/or used by a small town or an airport.
Oh, I wasn't doubting it, just saying I don't remember seeing them. I remember there were several different models, cars included the owner of the dealership would not get in. He said it was due to the price, it would be hard to sell it in that area, and he would have to set on it and have money tied up for a while.
always wanted one of those. didnt think they made them in 8ft beds.....that being the case looks like i got something new to look for in the gys. i would definately transfer that bed onto my truck.
