My husband and I are both short. We are researching steps to add to our 2017 F350 Super cab long bed. We would prefer wheel-to-wheel round or oval steps with single or dual steps, but would be willing to do a combination of cab length round or oval steps with single or dual steps and box side steps. We would prefer not to get power steps and do not like the appearance of running board style steps.
Which manufacturer makes steps with the greatest drop?
I think the 4x4 model running boards are lower than the 4X2 model trucks. I'm guessing it about a two inch height difference. So if your getting a 4X2 truck see if anyone with a 4X4 is willing to trade. The 4X4 guys would love the higher ground clearence. There is also an option for full length running boards that extend to the rear wheel so you can access the front of the bed
I'm surprised more people don't order those. I thought they were worth the money on my 2017. It always drove me crazy on the F-150 not to be able to clean the back window without doing acrobatics.

We didn't order ours with running boards, so we couldn't trade. We don't like the look of running boards. We like the look of round or oval bars. I just sent an email to Go Rhino to see if they are going to make the Dominator D4 for the 2017 super cabs. It is a cab length dual step (oval bar step and hoop step combo).
I checked the height of a couple different types of steps on the trucks that were at the Drive event in the fall. The AMP power steps were the lowest to the ground (when deployed) that I could find. Keep in mind that my sample was only of four trucks. My wife is 5'4" and complains about my current half ton 4x4 truck which is leveled. So I tried to find the steps with the lowest height possible.
I have a pair of take-off chrome steps, they are OEM chrome oval Ford steps. I had them on the truck for 1 week before I replaced them with AMP powered steps. I would be willing to sell them if you're interested.
You can see them in the attached pic.

Thank you for the offer. Unfortunately, our tuck is a super cab so the steps you have will not fit.
