Where do you find this Amazon Green paint?? My '99 could use some touch-ups, but the regular brands at the parts store don't even offer this color. I know it can be had on the net-but I don't want to spend $25-30 a can(12 oz. spray). Anybody know of a better source???
duplicolor generally has it for about $6/7 a can. Pretty much anyplace that sells auto paint can get you special ordered some, usually within a week or two. It won't exactly match because yours is faded, BUT it is pretty close and if you do the whole panel until you get to a body line or edge, no one will ever know..
Look in the yellow pages for your nearest automotive paint supply store. They will have the best quality paint in spray cans and can match pretty much any OEM color. I doubt you'd pay more than 10 bucks for a can.
I ended up going to IKT (Bumper to Bumper) to have them mix a can but they don't put in a paint bomb. Napa or OReilly's don't/won't do it here in my neck of the woods.
Coincidentally, I happened to drop by one of my local auto paint supply houses yesterday to pick up a can of SEM interior paint (which I also recommend, it's made especially for vinyl and plastic interiors). Just out of curiosity, I asked what a spray can of emerald green exterior (the color of my SHO) would cost me and they quoted me a price of about $22. So I might have been a little optimistic regarding the price I mentioned in my earlier post. Nonetheless, I'd still "go with the pros" if I actually needed some exterior auto paint.
Thanks Rockledge, I kinda thought as much, but if I really need to paint an entire panel, I'll be taking it to a body shop...A lot of colors can be had at the parts store(Dupli-Color) for $5-6, if thats all you need for small jobs(need paint code). Thanks for the follow up.....
