well tonight i was driving an work van an mid 90's dodge 250, i just told my boss yesterday that i don't want to drive it when weather is not perfect, becouse it does not hold the road and i would wind up putting it in a ditch. well it hasent snowed in 2 days and roads were all pretty clear. i took the dodge van im driving an 2 lane blacktop come the road i was on looked pretty clear i was running about 50mph. i come over the crest of an hill and there is a deer right there, i swerve about 3 feet twards the shoulder to miss it not knowing i was on an solid sheet of black ice, the van goes into an fishtail, there is a car comming the other dirrection and aporching quickly, i realize im not going to be able to re gain controll before i meet the other vehical so rather than taking somone else out too i aimed it for an ditch with an big dropoff and braced for an rollover. i got lucky and dident roll, unfortuanly the dodge did not suffer any noticable dammage yet other than the alignment is out. it took an wrecker about 1.5 hours to get me out of the ditch, he had his stabalizers down and whenever he would go to winch his truck would slide on the ice. I am ok my neak started hurting about 3 hours afterwards and is now realy bothering me, might go to the doctor tommorrow we will see how i feel.

well today im still very sore, had trouble falling asleep last night because i could not get comfortable i couldn't get up, had trouble getting out of bed this morning. ill see how i feel tomorrow if im going to go in to the doctors or not. and your right i should have just hit the deer but the deer dident ask for a road to be put in the middle of where it lives, i cant kill an innocent animal unless im going to eat it. and chances would be that it would be so mangled there wouldn't be much usable meat. i also did not realize i was on black ice. even if i would have hit the deer the impact probably would have put me in the ditch anyway. i guess live and learn. im not looking forward to driving that same road tonight.

 

well now for an update i left work early tonight having major headaches so bad there making me nauseous, bad neak pain, calling and making an appointment with an chiropractor tomorrow. the boss is picking up the bill
