Hello,
I have a 2001 Ford Explorer. It starts fine, but as soon as I take my foot off the gas, it stalls. It did it about once a week, but now does it all the time.
It runs great, doesn't miss a beat when I'm on open road, but of course, at stop signs or traffic lights, when I take my foot off gas it stalls.
There is no check engine light on and the mechanic said the sensors and stuff were okay. I've also replaced the plugs.
Any ideas?
Thank you both for the reply. I will have the hoses checked and do that with the air bypass valve. I'm hoping it's nothing major. I've been told by a couple of people that the computer could be bad.
Got my car back from garage, it was the throttle body. Was very very dirty!!
Thanks to everyone for their help, I really appreciate it and hope this will help someone else in the future. Hope you have a great holiday.
