need help

Hello,
I have a 2001 Ford Explorer. It starts fine, but as soon as I take my foot off the gas, it stalls. It did it about once a week, but now does it all the time.
It runs great, doesn't miss a beat when I'm on open road, but of course, at stop signs or traffic lights, when I take my foot off gas it stalls.
There is no check engine light on and the mechanic said the sensors and stuff were okay. I've also replaced the plugs.
Any ideas?

I had this issue with my old 93 Exp. I think it had something to do with the vacuum hoses or something like that. Can't exactly remember.

Thank you both for the reply. I will have the hoses checked and do that with the air bypass valve. I'm hoping it's nothing major. I've been told by a couple of people that the computer could be bad.

Thoroughly clean the throttle body butterfly valve with carb cleaner twice a year.

Do not use carb cleaner, it damages the seals in the TB and idle controller. Use throttle body cleaner instead.
