Hey folks, when I'm driving around and reach 60km and progress to 80km my vehicle slowly gains speed but my foot is well on the pedal and my RPM is lower then usual...My TPS is reading correctly on the meter so that's fine.

Could this be a IAC motor issue?
-Thanks
Matt
The IAC's only function is to regulate air flow mix at idle and when bad will sometimes keep it from cranking or make it hard to crank. I;m sure this is not your problem. Are you saying that the truck doesn't accelerate quick enough when you press the gas pedal while going 60km? If so, it sounds like it is not downshifting to engage the passing gear. There is an adjustment underneath but unfortunately I don't know how to tell you to do it. Maybe someone that knows will chime in.
Yes correct, when I reach 60km my rpm drops and my speed very slowly increases..I have to get off the pedal and reapply gas then its fine, but it happens all the time.
Since you say it drops rpm once it reaches 60km, it sounds like something other than what I had previously said. Have you checked it for any fault codes? Could be a bad COP or fuel filter maybe.
I know I have to replace my fuel filter but that's the one service procedure I'm not sure how to do. What's a "bad cop"?
Naw I haven't checked for any codes yet, need to get me a reader.
Fuel filter takes a special tool that local parts store should carry. It is not that difficult. The COP stands for "coil on plug". It takes the place of the wires used on older engines and places the mini coil directly on each spark plug. So you actually have 8 coils. Don't know what parts dealers you have up your way but here in the states, parts stores like Autozone will check for codes for you. Hope this helps.
Great! Thanks a lot man, up here we have a store called Part source so its just like auto zone. Going to go down and see if they can grab some codes tomorrow
