would you be interested in a regular cab dually? This is not my truck and I am not a salesman but a few weeks back I put an ad in a local paper looking for parts and this guy replied and started trying to sell this truck to me he is only asking $2500.00 bucks that's a good deal it is a 96 5 speed new clutch,he said something is wrong with the injectors but doesn,t seem to know alot about theses trucks it was used as a tow truck and has lower miles
Ehhhh i might shy away from it if it was a wrecker in a past life. I currently drive one almost the same thing and I've seen first hand some of the abuses it has gone through, and not to mention neglect. All the ones that i've seen haven't been kept up on there services and are in dier need of one. I'm almost to the point that I'm going to pay for an oil change in this poor girl, we are going on 17,000 miles since the last one.
that is just not right does someone hate that truck,, not that bad tho at work we have 500 + trucks witch buy the all but maybe 20 are fords 150, 350 ,550 , and 40 big rigs gas oil chages are 5000 miles all others 10000 miles and i never shut mine off all day i an ether driveing it or it running about half throdle as i am working with the crane i have 319000 miles and have never added one drop of oil between oil changes
My boss just doesnt like the whole preventative maintance idea i guess. I mean the truck doesnt burn any oil and it runs like a clock, the only problem mechanically is the uppies have a really small leak. But it really ticks me off that he wont take care of it, its only got 150,000 and would easily go for another 150,000 if he would spend som cash on preventative stuff. When i first got it the air filter was so bad that i did a 6637 on my truck just so that the wrecker could have my old one. And this isnt the only instance ive seen like this, a lot of towing companies around me use these truck and very few take real good care of them. Its sad.
We have a towing guy here in clare michigan, he runs all fords.
Ford PSD dualy crew cab sits there as his personal truck.
All his stuff is always clean and washed and in great condition.
Ya my boss's truck is a mean looking truck. Hes won 3? awards with it i think, its a F550 with a 6.0 ZF-6 and about 10 million lights. The trucks are red and a dark slate gray and then on his truck he has a sick airbrushed flame job on it. Hes got an exhuast and a chip and gauges and all the toys but when he bought the company 4 years ago it came with the other trucks and they were seriously neglected by the previous owner. And of course i'm stuck with one of the older trucks until next summer..... but o well.
