Anyone know how to contact Rotunda directly to obtain information on their scanners and other tools?

Craig, if you have a good dealership I would talk to the guy who manages the parts dept. Where I live in Indiana made friends with the parts guy through the Fire Dept. my daughter is a firefighter. Get good info and very good prices on most things that I really have to go to Ford for. Just my .02

Thanks, Jeep1947. I spoke with my service guy. He wasn't sure if Rotunda dealt directly with the public or not. It was past closing time, so I couldn't talk with my parts guy.

That's on my "To-Do" list. With the holidays and all, I don't have much time to spare at the dealership or even to give them a call.

I thought I might get lucky and someone here would know how to contact Rotunda. I figured we had a bunch of diesel mechanics around who have access to that kind of information.

"edit" the rotunda site is operational again, it is here- http://www.fordspecialtools.com/
if you are looking for scanners the NGS hits ebay frequently and is cheap on there. or call 1800-rotunda and follow the prompts.

Thanks, Joe.

That's why I'm trying to find the Rotunda site. I'm seeing the "Super Star" models on eBay.

I asked my service guy about them and he said some of the scanners require a special card or a service subscription to work properly. He wasn't sure if Rotunda dealt directly with the public.

I didn't want to buy an expensive paperweight. I'd like to get the NGS, even though the IDS/PDS is the newer model. I hear the IDS/PDS is on the way out soon, too.

if you buy the "complete" kit off ebay it will do everything up to 03 vehicles. after that its CAN instead of OBD-II. to do those you need the VCM module for the ngs. you remove the grey lower half of ngs and install the new longer red piece. you can get the vcm from rotunda, dial 1800-rotunda then extension 1. i havnt seen the vcm on ebay yet.

also, to do our trucks all that you need is the first link. that will do all vehicles from 84-03 excluding the 03 6.0 diesel. and there is no subscription needed, no such thing. once you have ngs you have it forever.

Thanks again, Joe. I'll keep my eye on those. Looks like the bids are already out of my league.

What are the links for these, Tim?

Is there a particular model I need to look for?

i am partial to the ngs, its a really good tool to have, and you can do so much with it. 5-600 bucks is an incredible deal on a 3000 dollar tool

I agree, Joe, that is a great deal. Now if I only had that to spend on the tool. At least I now have a better idea of what to look for.

Thanks for the info, guys. I appreciate it.
