I brought my F250 6.4 in for routine service last week along with the letter from FOMOCO about the front seat inspection. The service writer stated that Oasis was showing that the truck needed a venturi mod also. I stated that I had done this mod myself back in June as a precaution to prevent the radiator from blowing out on a long trip. He said OK and when I picked up the truck my reciept showed that the seat inspection had been cleared but not the radiator mod. The service person stated that the tech refused to clear the venturi mod because he didn't do the work. Lucky my son is a Ford tech up in NY and he fudged it with oasis. My concern was that if the Radiator blew Oasis would show the job wasn't done and the warranty would not pay for it. I know many owners have done the same thing with their trucks. Better make sure the records show it WAS done
Great advice! Take it from someone who has had to rely on warranty. I finally got my truck back after 2+ months in service dept. The service manager told me that my repairs would have come to greater than $16,000 if not covered by warranty!
To this date I haven't recieved a letter for the venturi kit, mine is a Job 1. I installed a venturi kit myself about 2 months ago.If I do get a notice and take it in and they tell me they won't sign off on it , then I will tell them to go ahead and install another that the letter addresses.
The venturi FSA now has updated information; I think they put the letters on hold with the flash freeze or hold.
Anyway the venturi FSA now has this text flagged as update.

There are three new TSB's for module reprogramming or flash so I would think since they are planning on letters by the 15th. and have these new TSB's that they will also release the hold for the new module flash too.
It can not be expected that they should warranty work that a certified ford mechanic did not perform at a ford dealership. This is the same in every industry, you want warranty/recall, the company will only allow it to be done by their certified mechanics.
